This policy explains what information is used when you visit stormwake.no and play Stormwake. The site is run by Eidsvik Studio in Norway. You can contact us at contact@stormwake.no.

No accounts

You do not need to create an account or give us your name or email address to play.

Your saved game

Your progress (coins, ships, upgrades and settings) is stored in your own browser, using local storage on your device. It is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser data for this site.

Hosting and technical data

The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Like most web services, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and request details to deliver the site, keep it fast and protect it against abuse. Read more in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Advertising and cookies

Stormwake is free, and we pay for it with advertising. This site shows, or may show, ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this site or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before personalised ads and non-essential cookies are used, and you can change your choice later.

Children

Stormwake is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and Norwegian law you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet). Since we do not run accounts, most of the data about you is stored in your own browser and under your own control.
